One thing to keep in mind when using lipsticks designed to contain more moisture, never roll out the entire tube to apply. Rebelle is almost a bit of an exception when I talk about pigmentation because it is one of the redder shades from the Rouge Coco Shine collection, a light application gives your lips a “bitten” appearance, and a few more coats give them a nice red hue. And I love that they have absolutely no scent, where as Chanel lipsticks all come with a subtle rose scent, their signature scent. For example I find that lipsticks from SUQQU and Lunasol provide a lot more moisture. Unfortunately don’t expect any moist lipstick with slip to last as long as say a matte lipstick, that’s just how science works.Īs a stand alone lipstick these are great, but when you explore other brands you begin to see the differences. They are quite moist, they aren’t terribly pigmented but that’s what I like about them (perhaps for the more conservative person) and they are very easily to apply. The Rouge Allire Ink kind of becomes one with the lips after thirty minutes and you can forget that you're wearing anything on your lips. The Rouge Allure Ink feels more weightless than YSL Vinyl Cream Lip Stain as well, which due to its high shine finish needs to rely on a thick "vinyl" texture to adhere to lips.
Of the two that I came home with, Luxuriant is the perfect plummy pink/red for fall, and Seduisant is the embodiment of the most perfect combination of a coral red/pink lip which is suitable for both warm and cool months.
Chanel really created an almost perfect palette, and there are 6 out of the 8 shades that are utterly and completely perfect in my view.
I actually also prefer the colour selection of the Rouge Allure Inks. Rouge Allure Ink – I prefer the slightly luminous matte finish go fall as I feel it gives a more sophisticated vibe.
